IFS Therapy
Learn more about an innovative treatment method called
Internal Family Systems therapy.
Our mind consists of multiple parts
The IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy is based on the multiple mind paradigm, that is the assumption that our personality consists of parts called subpersonalities (i.e. Inner Critic, Inner Child, Slacker, Workaholic, Perfectionist, etc.).
You go through the whole process with your eyes closed.
In the process, the therapist helps you to look into your inner world and get in touch with your parts. Entering into dialogue with the subpersonalities which are the source of your destructive emotions and behaviours, you begin to establish relations with them and thus release the emotional burdens and resolve inner conflicts.
Internal Family Systems therapy can help you
on these and many more fields:
Emotional difficulties
You will learn what causes them and how they affect your life. You will free yourself from what works against you, binds you and evokes fear, sadness or despair.
Mental disorders
You will receive support in dealing with the challenges you are facing – both those to come and those already present in your life. You will gain awareness of your behavioural mechanisms.
Life crises
You will look at the process of your ongoing change from many perspectives. You will learn to deal with the effects of this painful, difficult and groundbreaking experience.
Expanding self-awareness
You will gain insight into yourself and understand the motives behind your actions, define your inner needs and life goals. You will learn how to transform “I must” or “I should” into “I want to”.
Challenges in relationships
You will look at your role in your environment and give meaning to the relationships you build. Our specialist will accompany you in your search of the potential to grow and change, and subsequently in making this change happen.
Self-Esteem
You will tame your inner critic. You will find out what unmet needs of yours stand behind his actions – the need for acceptance, understanding, appreciation, or maybe closeness? Then you will learn to discover your real potential and nurture your self-esteem.
