A game-changing paradigm
In the history of psychotherapy, a few game-changing ideas have inspired the way therapy was done all over the world. One of those ideas is the multiplicity paradigm, which started to be widely applied more than 30 years ago.
The multiplicity paradigm assumes that our personality consists of different subpersonalities. According to this, having an “internal family” of parts is a perfectly natural state of our mind. Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), developed by Richard Schwartz in the 1980s, is now one of the fastest-growing modalities based on this paradigm.
An evidence-based psychotherapy model
The IFS therapy, as an evidence-based psychotherapy model, is a great fit for mental health professionals who support others in healing trauma, addictions, and other mental conditions.
It also works wonderfully with self-therapy - that’s why this model is also very popular with those, who are seeking deep psychological and spiritual healing for themselves.
Bringing IFS to the world
From Michael Pasterski, Founder of Life Architect:
When I first heard about the IFS, I was already acquainted with parts work. I’ve even included a chapter about it in my book called “Insight. The road to mental maturity”.
Then, in 2017 I stumbled upon the IFS model. It was love at first sight. After ten years of growing Life Architect and working as a coach, I felt that this was something that I was looking for for a long time. I did all 3 levels of official IFS training in the UK, went through a certification process, and set up my own practice as a certified IFS practitioner.
Now, as an International Partner of the IFS Institute, I and my team are bringing IFS therapy to Poland and to global mental health professionals community. We organize official IFS trainings and offer various advanced online workshops on IFS.
Whether you are an experienced mental health professional or a beginner in assisting others in healing (or want to use this model only for self-therapy), I invite you to learn the basics of the IFS model with me.
