8 Days in Brazilian Nature
This retreat takes place at Aldeia Rizoma, an ecological reserve in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, near the UNESCO-listed town of Paraty.
Immersed in native forest and flowing rivers, the setting offers both beauty and clarity — an invitation to slow down and reconnect with what’s essential. Accommodations are thoughtfully designed eco-houses inspired by Indigenous architecture. Removed from daily noise and digital distractions, this environment supports deep rest, reflection, and inner renewal — essential ingredients for sustainable leadership and creative clarity.

Authentic Indigenous Ceremonial Work
Three Ayahuasca ceremonies will be guided by experienced representatives of the Yawanawá people of Brazil.
Rooted in an unbroken lineage of forest wisdom, their chants, rituals, and presence open a space for profound insight and healing. Our collaboration with the Yawanawá is based on mutual trust, respect, and reciprocity — a living bridge between Indigenous traditions and modern seekers of purpose and connection.

A Safe Container
The retreat is guided by a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in psychology, leadership development, and ceremonial facilitation.
Their trauma-informed approach integrates Indigenous knowledge with Western psychological frameworks to provide a setting that is both emotionally safe and ethically held. All ceremonies are conducted in accordance with Brazilian law.

A Six-Month IFS-Guided Journey
This retreat is part of a six-month process that begins before we gather in Brazil.
Through three preparation circles and two integration circles, we use Internal Family Systems (IFS) tools to build connection with our inner parts, set clear intentions, and prepare for deep work with the medicine. After the retreat, these same practices help us integrate insights into everyday life — transforming moments of revelation into lasting clarity, purpose, and inner alignment.
“There have been no words to express the depth of gratitude I felt during the retreat and in my reflections since.”
Carolanne, Sacred Pathways Retreat in Brazil, March 2025

Who is this retreat for?
Inner Horizon is designed for leaders, entrepreneurs, and creators who are ready to explore inner work in a setting that bridges ancient wisdom and modern understanding.
It’s for those who:
- Wish to experience Ayahuasca in a legal and ethically held environment, guided by Indigenous wisdom and supported by experienced facilitators.
- Feel called to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters — beyond achievement and roles.
- Appreciate a process that blends depth, safety, and clarity through both Indigenous ceremony and modern psychological insight.
- Are open to exploring a structured inner journey grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based model for growth and transformation.
You don’t need prior experience with Ayahuasca to join. If this is your first time, you’ll receive personalized guidance and thorough preparation to ensure a safe, meaningful, and transformative experience.
Healing with Ayahuasca, the Indigenous way

During this 8-day retreat in Brazil, we’ll embark on a guided journey of self-discovery through IFS and Ayahuasca, held in the heart of the Atlantic Rainforest near Rio de Janeiro. Here, the ancestral wisdom of the Yawanawá people meets the clarity and psychological insight of Internal Family Systems (IFS) —creating a bridge between two complementary paths of inner exploration.
Our intention is to offer an experience that brings lasting transformation, not just temporary insight. Guided by the spirit of Ayahuasca and the original teachings of the Yawanawá, we’ll learn to receive the medicine’s gifts in a safe, well-held environment — one that honors both Indigenous and modern approaches to healing and growth.
At the heart of this retreat are three sacred ceremonies rooted in the spiritual tradition of the Yawanawá — an Indigenous community from the Brazilian Amazon known for their devotion to the forest, sacred songs, and plant teachers. Each ceremony includes Ayahuasca (Uni), Rapé (Rume), and Sananga, used in alignment with Yawanawá protocols and prayer.

Through music, chant, and presence, the Yawanawá leaders create a living field of beauty, truth, and connection — a rare opportunity to experience their medicine in its authentic, original context.
The retreat team includes eight facilitators: four members of the Indigenous Committee and four from the Integration Team, maintaining a 1:3 facilitator-to-participant ratio. Together they bring decades of experience, uniting the perspectives of licensed therapists, certified IFS practitioners, and Indigenous spiritual leaders in a cohesive, trauma-informed container.
We are honored to welcome four ceremony leaders from Brazil as part of the Indigenous Committee. Each of them carries the Yawanawá lineage of prayer and song — an unbroken tradition of forest-guided wisdom that invites us to remember who we are, and to walk with greater clarity, integrity, and purpose.

IFS-based Preparation
A distinctive element of Inner Horizon lies in how we approach intention — not as a goal to chase, but as an act of inner alignment. Before we meet in Brazil, we’ll use Internal Family Systems (IFS) practices to tune into the different parts of ourselves — the ones that strive, protect, or resist — and to listen for what truly needs our attention at this stage of life.
For many leaders and creators, this process becomes a strategic pause — a chance to step back from constant doing and reconnect with the deeper intelligence that guides meaningful action. When your internal system feels heard and aligned, the work with Ayahuasca can unfold with greater clarity, purpose, and coherence.
Ayahuasca’s guidance is often symbolic and non-linear — it speaks in the language of intuition and image. When we prepare with awareness and a clear, grounded intention, the experience tends to organize itself into a powerful process of insight and integration rather than scattered impressions.

This alignment serves as an anchor during ceremony, helping you stay centered in what truly matters — and as a guiding thread afterward, supporting lasting transformation in how you lead, create, and relate.
Without such preparation, the journey can still be meaningful but harder to interpret or apply.
Through IFS-guided preparation, we establish a clear internal foundation — allowing Ayahuasca to work not in opposition to your system, but in partnership with it.
Before the retreat, you’ll receive structured guidance on using IFS to prepare — helping you enter the ceremony with focus, emotional safety, and inner clarity about your direction and intentions.

You can be confident that he will take good care of your needs. The plant medicine traditions of Brazil are among the deepest and most beautiful in the world. This is a rare opportunity to encounter these tribal traditions with the support of a sophisticated and reliable Western team.”

Retreat venue

Aldeia Rizoma, Atlantic Forest, Brazil
Aldeia Rizoma is a 30-hectare ecological reserve set in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, about 20 minutes from the UNESCO-listed town of Paraty and midway between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Dense jungle, the Perequê-Açú River, and a network of forest trails create a quiet setting for deep work and reflection. Guests can explore natural pools and waterfalls, walk sheltered paths, or simply sit among trees that have stood for centuries.

Forest Houses
Eight forest houses—designed by Atelier Marko Brajovic and inspired by Indigenous architecture—offer privacy and comfort while minimizing environmental impact. Each structure frames views of the surrounding canopy and serves as a quiet space for contemplation. On site you’ll also find a river-side sauna, an open-air jungle gym, meditation decks, a body-therapy room, and gathering spaces for group sessions. The overall design encourages a balance of immersion in nature and a sense of security and ease.

Ayuru, the ceremony space
At the heart of Aldeia Rizoma lies its main ceremonial space — a circular, open-air structure designed to hold group energy with focus and care. Built with natural materials and surrounded by the forest’s quiet presence, the space is both grounded and expansive. Here, the main ceremonies take place in close connection with the land, accompanied by the sounds of the jungle and the flowing river nearby. Whether in silence or in song, this sacred space offers a safe, held environment for deep inner journeys.

Meals
Daily meals feature locally sourced ingredients, many from Aldeia Rizoma’s own agroforestry gardens. The kitchen offers balanced menus with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available on request. Meals are prepared to support sustained energy and gentle integration throughout the retreat.
Take a look inside the Ayuru, our ceremony space
The retreat schedule
Each day during the retreat will be unique, with the three ayahuasca ceremonies led by the Indigenous committee at the core of our journey. Surrounding them are rituals and integration practices designed to deepen our inner work, support emotional processing, and help us stay connected—to ourselves, to each other, and to the transformation catalyzed by the medicine.

Integration Sessions
During the retreat, we’ll come together for integration circles held before and after each ceremony. These sessions create space to prepare your system for the entheogenic experience, explore the meaning behind what arises, and begin weaving insights into everyday life. Each circle offers a grounded, supportive environment for reflection, emotional clarity, and thoughtful integration of the work.

IFS-guided Sharing Circles
Before and after each ceremony we will also come together in sharing circles guided by the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS). These spaces offer a grounded container for integrating our experiences, connecting with the different parts of ourselves, and being witnessed in a supportive group. All of the sharing circles will be facilitated by Gabriella Csanádi and Michał Pasterski, Level 3 trained IFS practitioners.

Ritual Work
We’ll engage in ceremonial and ritualistic practices rooted in indigenous wisdom traditions of the Yawanawá tribe. Practices like herbal baths and Rapé ceremonies guided by our Indigenous committee, will help us anchor our intentions, connect with the land, honor Mother Nature, and partake in activities that symbolize transformation and renewal.

Nature Immersion
During the retreat, we’ll immerse ourselves in the natural surroundings of the Atlantic Forest through walking along forest paths, time spent by the river and enjoying the nearby waterfall. The environment invites moments of stillness, connection, and reflection—supporting our inner process through direct contact with nature. Optional activities like river bathing or guided jungle trek will also be available.

Holding Space Practice
Using IFS, we’ll deepen the connection with our parts and share our experiences using the Holding Space Practice (done in pairs). Embracing the wisdom of indigenous traditions, we recognize that healing often happens in the community. Together, we’ll grow into a tribe, helping each other through our journeys. The Holding Space Practice is a way to deepen our process during the preparation phase, as well as during and after the retreat.

Movement and Bodywork
We’ll practice movement with an emphasis on body awareness, such as Qigong, to connect with ourselves and release stored emotions. We’ll also participate in guided silent forest walks and gentle movement to live music. Optional therapeutic massage and bodywork will be available for relaxation.

Kambo Cleanse
Offered as an optional experience, the Kambo ceremony is a powerful traditional detox ritual using the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor (giant monkey frog). Held with great care, Kambo helps to purge physical toxins, reset the immune system, and clear stagnant emotional energy. Rooted in Indigenous Amazonian traditions, Kambo is a gateway to release residual blockages, integrate insights more fully, and reconnect with inner strength.

Therapeutic Massage
Touch has the power to ground us, soften tension, and support the integration of deep inner work. During the retreat, you’ll have the option to receive therapeutic massage or bodywork from skilled practitioners attuned to the unique needs of this journey. These sessions offer space for the body to unwind, emotions to settle, and insights to gently land. Whether you seek restoration or simply a quiet moment of care, massage can be a nourishing complement to your unfolding process.

1:1 Indigenous Cleansing Ritual
This individual ritual, offered by a member of the Yawanawá ceremonial team, is a deeply personal experience of energetic cleansing and spiritual recalibration. Using sacred tools such as feathers, chants, prayers, and forest medicines, this one-on-one encounter clears stagnant energies and helps realign your connection with spirit and self. Each ritual is unique—guided by the intuition and ancestral knowledge of the healer—and offers a profound sense of purification, grounding, and renewal.

1:1 Preparation Sessions
At any time before the retreat, you can book one or more online preparation sessions with one of our facilitators: David Londoño (psychotherapist and psychedelic integration specialist), Gabriella Csanádi (Level 3 trained IFS practitioner), or Michał Pasterski (Certified & Level 3 trained IFS practitioner). Each session lasts 60 minutes and costs 90 EUR.
These sessions offer a grounded space to clarify your intentions, address fears and prepare for your experiences with the medicine. After the retreat, integration session will also be available – either with one of the facilitators, or with someone from our trusted group of psychedelic integration therapists.

Join us for a 3-day visit near Paraty, a bohemian city nestled between the Atlantic rainforest and the sea. We’ll be staying at a peaceful beachfront hotel, offering the opportunity to relax by the ocean while still enjoying the rich natural and cultural surroundings. This is the perfect place to relax and explore the diversity of Brazil and connect with its true spirit.
This time is for unwinding and reflecting while discovering the region’s rich culture and beauty. You can join group activities or enjoy some quiet time. Our flexible program includes forest walks, cultural experiences, and local cuisine to enhance your well-being.

Move at your own pace — exploring, connecting, or simply being. This first day offers a gentle landing into the Spirit of Brazil.

Day 2: Afro-Brazilian Legacy: Resilience and Rhythm
We’ll delve into Afro-Brazilian culture by visiting a Quilombola community, descendants of enslaved Africans who escaped and formed their own free communities. We’ll learn about their history and take part in a Jongo workshop, a traditional dance that serves both as a form of spiritual cleansing and a symbol of resistance. You’ll have time to relax and reflect, whether by taking a quiet walk or simply enjoying the rhythm and energy of the community at your own pace.
