Why you should join IFS Level 1 Hybrid Training?

An official IFS Training

A 16-day IFS Level 1 Hybrid Training approved by IFS Institute, run by international trainer with the support of 12 IFS program assistants, joining you online and onsite in this experiential training. This is the first and most important phase in the three-level training in IFS therapy.

Jory Agate

All modules of that training will be led by IFS Solo Lead Trainer Jory Agate LMHC, MDiv., MA, IFS Certified. An Internal Family Systems therapist, trainer, and consultant with a private practice in Cambridge, MA.

Hybrid format

Hybrid format means that part of the training will be conducted online, and the other part will take place onsite in Poland. This provides you with a unique opportunity to meet the other participants in person.

Practical formula

IFS Level 1 Training uses a format that features lectures, live demonstrations of the therapeutic process, small group practice sessions (each group is attended by an experienced program assistant) and larger group discussions.

Prospects for using IFS model

After completing this training, you will be competent to use IFS therapy in various forms of psychological help (therapy, coaching, counseling) and in other domains of supporting people - at school, in the hospital, in business, etc.

Richard C. Schwartz, the founder of IFS therapy, has been developing the IFS model for over 30 years. In addition to offering a thorough understanding of the theory and practice of IFS therapy, this training invites participants to explore their own inner worlds within a training's safe, nurturing space.

As a participant in these trainings you will:

  • understand the conceptual basis of the IFS model;
  • learn how to apply IFS techniques in your individual work with the client;
  • make use of the IFS model and the possibilities it gives in self-therapy.

  • The training has 89.5 program hours and breaks.
  • Participants must complete 75 program hours to receive a certificate of completion.
  • Before the training, we will send you a training manual by traditional post.
  • This IFS Level 1 Hybrid Training includes lectures, large and small group discussions, live and video demonstrations of the therapeutic process, and small group practice sessions (each group is always attended by an experienced program assistant).
Training <b>format</b>

Training format

This IFS Level 1 Training will be conducted in a hybrid format, with sessions held online through the Zoom platform and onsite in Poznań, Poland.

ONLINE

This part of the training will take place through the Zoom platform. There is no need to install the software on your laptop, but it is recommended.

The practice groups will be run with a "breakout room" functionality within Zoom, which allows groups to have private sessions and lets the trainer join particular rooms if needed.

Each participant will join with their video and audio on, being able to ask questions, discuss with other participants, share screen, etc.

ONSITE

This part of the training will be conducted in person in Poznań, Poland. The exact address of the training venue will be provided soon. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the training venue, as well as meals and accommodation during the training period.

Meet the trainer

Jory Agate


Jory Agate, LMHC, MDiv., MA, IFS Certified, is an Internal Family Systems therapist, trainer, and consultant with a private practice in Cambridge, MA.

Jory is committed to creating a collaborative clinical space that honors the cultural uniqueness of her clients. She specializes in treating trauma without pathologizing individuals for the creative ways they may have learned to cope. Jory had previous careers as a Unitarian Universalist minister and Sign Language interpreter/Deaf educator in the US and abroad. She works in English and ASL with hearing and Deaf individuals, families, couples, clergy, staff teams, and parents of individuals with major mental illness. Jory is a trainer/presenter for the IFS Institute, PESI, the Unitarian Universalist Association, and the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).

In addition to her private practice, she provides training and consultation in IFS therapy, cultural agility, sexuality education, leadership development, and group dynamics. The mother of two young adults, one hearing and one Deaf, she lives with her wife and their pandemic puppy in Cambridge, MA.

<b>Enrollment</b> process

Enrollment process

  • From November 30th, you can sign up for the interest list for this training edition.
  • On December 5th, we will email all individuals who have signed up for the interest list with a link to our Application Form. We will be eagerly awaiting your filled forms from December 5th to 17th. This form will help us better understand your goals and professional experience.
  • As an International Partner of IFS Institute, we are obliged to organize training for participants from Poland. This means that Poles have priority to participate; there will be 18 reserved spots for them. We also anticipate places for people from abroad, so we invite you to send your application :)
  • Once we receive the completed forms that meet the formal requirements, depending on the number of applications, we will make the selection based on the forms or conduct a lottery to select the participants for the training. We will choose 18 international training participants and also create a reserve list.
  • On December 20th, 2023, we will inform you about the final results by e-mail and ask selected people to make the payment.

The price

Regarding the investment for the training, the price is set at 4.500 USD. We understand that financial considerations are important, and we will be pleased to offer you the option to divide the payment into three convenient installments, making it more accessible and manageable for you.
Lodging, meals, and any other travel-related expenses are not included in tuition, and Life Architect does not make arrangements for them.

Payment

Candidates for participants will be asked to make a payment by selecting one of the options:

  • The total amount ($4,500*) at once by December 27th, 2023.
  • The first payment ($2,100*) by December 27th, 2023, and then the rest amount in two installments:
    • $1,200 by January 24th, 2024
    • $1,200 by February 21st, 2024.

*Please note that this amount includes the non-refundable deposit of 1.500 USD.

The training will be conducted in English.

General timeframes for the training days

The training consists of two parts that will be conducted online: Module 1 (7 days) and Practice Days (2 days), and one part that will be in person: Module 2 (7 days).

  • Module 1 ONLINE:
    • Arrival Day: 2 hours in the evening
    • 6 Training Days: 7 hours each day (the break schedule will be determined by the trainer)
  • Practice Days ONLINE:
    • 2 Practice Days: 6.5 hours each day (the break schedule will be determined by the trainer)
  • Module 2 ONSITE:
    • Arrival Day: 2 hours in the evening
    • 6 Training Days: 8 hours each day (the break schedule will be determined by the trainer)

The entire training comprises 89.5 teaching hours and breaks.

A minimum of 75 teaching hours must be attended to receive a certificate of completion.
