Meet the guests
Michael Elkin
Michael Elkin, LMFT is a IFS Senior Lead Trainer who has been teaching the model since 1997.
He has over 45 years of clinical experience, and his early career was focused on treating mandated clients in drug and alcohol treatment agencies where he got extensive experience working with chronic addiction and violent and sexual perpetrators. In order to learn to be effective with these challenges, he got training in family, strategic and hypnotic therapies.
He is an author of the book: Families Under the Influence.
Mike has been married for 54 years; 30 years in his practice marriage which produced 2 sons, and his 24 year marriage to storyteller, Judith Black. This has contributed to his deep interest in intimacy and relationships. He has been nationally ranked as a billiard player.
Rina Dubin
Rina Dubin, Ed.D, LPC, is a certified IFS therapist and IFS trainer in private practice in Newton, MA.
Her involvement with the IFS community began in 2004, and loves being part of the healing process which has allowed IFS to become a centerpiece in her work.
She has been affiliated with Internal Family Systems of New England (IFSNE) since its beginning in 2009 (until 2018), and as a member of the steering committee, she has been thrilled with the accelerating growth of IFS in the greater New England area.
Rina has a broad background in trauma, and offers supervision and consultation.
Meet the host
Michał Grześkowiak
Michał has been dedicated to communication and mental health fields for the past 15 years, working with groups and individuals. Fully immersed in IFS for the past four years.
As a psychologist and facilitator, he works with individuals in IFS-focused private practice and supports the community of Mental Health Professionals as a member of the Life Architect Team through writing, hosting, and coordinating trainings and workshops. He is the author of several hundred articles and recordings, especially interested in using stories and analogies to present ideas in fresh, unusual ways.
In earlier work as a trainer and speaker, he has conducted communication trainings and lectures at organizations like Dell and Volkswagen, multiple Universities, and conferences like Polyglot Conference, TEDxPoznan, Toastmasters Leadership Institute, etc. After work, he enjoys playing percussion instruments and moving in nature.
